A short 3-day trip to Rio de Janeiro 2022 November, departing from São Paulo, to solve some business issues, meet friends, and travel.
Rio de Janeiro 2022 November – Goals
My goals for this trip were:
- solve some business issues;
- meet some other friends in Rio de Janeiro;
- take travel photos;
- try to keep my study and exercise routine.
Overview
I’ve had a free week during the travel to São Paulo, then I decided to make a 3-day trip to Rio de Janeiro.
It is a short trip between both cities, using Ponte Aérea, which connects Congonhas Airport in São Paulo to Santos Dumont Airport in Rio.
This time I stayed one night in Copacabana and two nights in the Downtown.
Public transport
For the first time, I used the public transport called VLT (Veículo Leve sobre Trilhos).
We can use this transport to go to/from Santos Dumont Airport directly to Downtown and subway stations, and by subway, we can go to Copacabana too.
To use VLT, buy a RioCard and charge it in the vending machines located in the bus stops.
To use the subway, you can buy a card (Giro) and charge it in the vending machines located in the stations.
Both cards have apps to charge them by Internet.
Walking in the city
This image is from Avenida Presidente Vargas.
Gee, I’m too lazy to cross this avenue!
Conclusion
I was successful in just one goal, solved some business issues.
Due to coronavirus, once again, as in São Paulo, I’ve decided not to meet my Rio’s friends.
It was really a tight agenda in Rio de Janeiro, and I didn’t have time to keep my study and exercise routine.
The weather also wasn’t good to take good photos.
